About the Role

This role is responsible for driving the plant's challenging Continuous Improvement

plans.

Reporting into the CI Supervisor, you will be involved in the day-to-day C.I activities within the team and across departments, as well as the core C.I team requirements. You will lead some of the key C.I objectives for the plant.

Your Responsibilities


• Identify and quantify opportunities for operational improvement and create action plans to realise them


• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions


• Support the plant change management process


• Support the improvement ideas process


• Gather any analysis of process and other plant performance indices, for example customer performance, spend, scrap/yield, capability, ergonomics, MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis)


• Lead and coordinate Kaizen workshops across the facility


• Report out any improvements in line with functional requirements


• Support various communication activities as required

Who we are looking for


• Demonstrable experience in significant operational improvement activities


• Lean Manufacturing qualification – Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt is preferred


• Extensive experience in problem solving techniques and technologies


• Fully able to create a VSM and identify and articulate opportunities therein


• Deep understanding of lean manufacturing


• Previous experience with coordinating teams


• Highly motivated, positive and resilient


• Self starter with a passion for improvement


• Great inter-personal skills, getting involved to `make it happen`


• Methodical and analytical approach, with good self-management and team work approach


• Sound PC skills using standard MS and other software packages


• Experienced of working within projects through to successful implementation


• Excellent communication skills


• Degree in Manufacturing engineering, or related field


• Able to utilize a wide range of quality tools


• Good aptitude and desire to learn


• Manufacturing Engineering/Industrial Engineering background/qualifications
