The salary for this permanent Advanced Practitioner job is up to £54,129 per annum .

Main duties:

  • To be responsible for the selection, development and performance of the AXIS and Government funded prevention programmes in line with the HR policies.
  • To ensure all team members receive the appropriate level of communication to maintain engagement with the Council's vision, priorities, and activities.
  • To work closely and creatively with the partner agencies and community groups to ensure effective intervention programmes are delivered to children and young people.
  • To provide and facilitate regular 1-1 and group supervision in order to ensure good practice and to share knowledge and expertise which will enhance service delivery and improve outcomes for young people.
  • To demonstrate understanding of the Council's Customer Care Standards and ensure that these standards are met in order to deliver the council vision of 'putting our residents first'.
  • Provide expert professional and technical advice to other staff, managers, colleagues, and partners.
  • To manage workload systems to ensure resources address priority cases and respond to changing needs and circumstances, ensuring staff workloads are suited to their training and experience.
  • To produce management information and analysis which can be presented to a range of audiences.
  • Establish network of internal and external colleagues to support effective practice.
  • Provide professional leadership to colleagues through demonstrating exemplary practice, sharing knowledge and positively managing the interface between practice and education/training.
  • Act as organisational expert in role specialism, providing advice and support to other colleagues and partners.
  • Provide professional consultation to all teams within the directorate and other agencies, ensuring effective and efficient practice and procedures are in place.
  • To take responsibility for the effective management of the allocated department/team budget.
  • To ensure that all workforce expenditure is compliant with corporate guidance and that any temporary resource is purchased through the Council's agency contracts.
  • Complete other reasonable tasks in order to fulfil role purpose or as required by management.

Requirements of this role:

  • A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
