The Front of House Admin is usually the first contact for members of the public, guests and members.

The post is to support the organisation, management and development team by taking phone calls, taking messages and ensuring that information is passed on to the relevant person.

This post also involves administrating our cook n care service, a fresh food delivery service for vulnerable people. We are looking for a very organised individual with admin/secretarial/reception experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and ensure information is passed on to the appropriate person.
  • Attend to anyone presenting themselves at reception
  • Manage the reception diary
  • Manage the sensory room diary and appointments
  • Oversee our social media accounts, including responding to messages from FB Inbox and sharing any relevant information
  • Minute taking
  • Understanding the overall timetable of events/activities/clubs etc. in order to be able to pass information on to guests, members, families and colleagues.
  • Administration of our Cook'n'Care service
  • Provide admin support to development team including management
  • Any other reasonable duties appropriate to the post and in line with the needs of the project.
  • Ability to keep accounts details for cook n care customers
  • Arrear recovery
  • Maintaining office stock including printer ink

Essential

  • Experience in a similar position
  • A working understanding of Microsoft word, Excel etc.
  • A warm friendly, welcoming nature.
  • Trustworthy and aware of confidentiality policy, GDPR etc
  • A desire to ensure that vulnerable people, including those with a disability/impairment are supported to lead fulfilled lives.

Project Information

Background
Possil and Milton Forum on Disability was formed by a group of local disabled people back in 1984.

The centre (known as the 1st Centre for Disabled People) was built with funding from the Urban Aid Programme in 1991.

When the initial seven years Urban Aid funding came to an end we received funding from the P.P.A. (Priority Partnership Area) budget. We are now being funded by the Glasgow City Council. The organisation became known as Possobilities in 2015.

  • To create a forum of collaboration for the residents while promoting equal opportunities for the wider community.

  • For our business model to be a point of reference for aspiring social enterprises with desires for financial independence; an outcome which is viewed as achievable while working for the benefit of the community.
