Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST6+/Senior Post CCT) in Ophthalmology (Medical Retina) at Addenbrooke's Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This post is available from 07 August 2024 for a period of 12 months
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the post will include coremedical retina disease including age related macula degeneration, diabeticretinopathy and retinal vein occlusion along with general medical retinadisease. There will be opportunity to work in adult inherited retinal diseaseclinics including Von-Hippel landau have regular intravitreal injection lists,regional PDT treatment clinics and argon laser is performed on demand with anew generation multisport Pascal Laser.
There is an opportunity for involvement is researchprojects run through our Cambridge Eye Research Centre. We regularly updatetrials and are currently a centre for research into AMD, Sickle cell andhydroxychloroquine amongst others.
The department is supported by an excellent,on-demand imaging service with up to date technology. We have two OPTOSSilverstone devices with widefield autofluorescence, a Heidleburg OCT2 with OCTangiography and Blue peak Autofluorescnce. Fluorescein angiography can beperformed on TOPCON, Heidelberg or OPTOS and we have ICG capability.

FullRegistration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at timeof application is required.
