Job description
We have a new client at Exeter, Devon coming on board with us. We require Healthcare assistants' working hours are, on average, 37.5 hours a week. This role often has shift work, meaning you may have to work night shifts, early morning shifts, evenings and weekends

Your role might include:
- supporting people with social and physical activities
- booking and going with people to appointments
- helping with personal care such as support with showering and dressing
- supporting people with eating and drinking
- monitoring individuals' conditions by taking their temperature, pulse, respiration and weight, and possibly helping with medication.
- monitoring patients and performing basic health checks
- making patients feel comfortable.
- serving meals and helping to feed patients.

  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals such as nurses, physicians, and therapists in order to provide patients with exceptional care
  • Dispose of waste and hazardous materials
Healthcare Support Workers Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months experience in the UK healthcare sector
  • Superior communication skills
  • Excellent bedside manners and etiquette
  • Ability to analyze basic medical information and data
  • Ability to successfully work in a fastpaced, highpressure environment
  • Willingness to maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Prior experience in a hospital or clinical environment
  • Knowledge of basic phlebotomy procedures
  • Ability to work with other employees in order to achieve various goals
  • Understanding of medical confidentiality laws and practices
