Description: An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled Project Coordinator/Project Manager to collaborate with a top-notch team of researchers, developers, and engineers in shaping the future of virtual and augmented reality, set to become as ubiquitous and essential as smartphones and personal computers today. Specifically, the Research Audio team focuses on creating virtual sounds that mirror reality and transforming human hearing, enabling remote connections and seamless conversations even in challenging environments.

  • The Data team ensures that our machine learning researchers have the necessary data to achieve the project goals.
  • We are looking for a Project Coordinator to oversee various projects within the Data team, managing annotation activities and dataset documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • General project coordination and administrative tasks: Supporting project management efforts in the Data team, monitoring project progress, managing timelines, coordinating internal communications, and handling miscellaneous administrative duties like resource management and internal processes.
  • Annotation coordination: Collaborating with the annotations team and researchers to facilitate data annotation processes.

This role includes:

  • Translating data annotation requirements from research scientists to annotators and data engineers.
  • Working with multimedia data and overseeing annotation resources.
  • Tracking progress, communicating updates, resolving issues, implementing metrics, and generating reports on annotation efficiency and accuracy.
  • Developing training materials for annotators.
  • Data management: Documenting and managing multimedia datasets, ensuring data accessibility, outlining usage limitations, and collaborating with internal teams using spreadsheets, documents, and internal wikis.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, track progress, and engage with stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in producing clear and concise documentation for transparent stakeholder communication.
  • Experience with large spreadsheets or databases such as Microsoft Excel, MySQL, or Microsoft Access.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective time management.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience in annotating datasets.
  • Knowledge of machine learning/artificial intelligence is advantageous.
  • Programming or scripting skills, e.g., Python.

Education: Degree or minimum three years of relevant professional experience.
