Asset Maintenance Surveyor

TristoneNash is currently supporting a Local Housing Provider in hiring a Surveyor to join their Asset Management regional property team.

The Area Surveyor will provide a high-quality customer-focused professional asset management service, including responsive day-to-day works, voids, and planned investment programs. This role involves managing maintenance contracts with external contractors over a specific geographic area.

You will also assist in stock condition surveys to maintain an accurate Asset register for effective work delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre and post works inspections to ensure high-quality completion meeting customer needs.
  • Perform stock condition inspections to identify necessary repairs/improvements.
  • Efficiently manage programs, projects, and contractors for quality Asset management services.
  • Supervise and manage works effectively while controlling quality and cost.
  • Ensure work compliance with standards and regulations.

Programs of works will cover:

  • Responsive Repairs
  • Void works
  • Damp & Mould Inspections
  • Disrepair
  • Unplanned works
  • Planned component replacements (kitchen & bathroom, windows, doors, roofs, retrofit, heating systems, etc.), painting programs
  • Estate service contract management
  • Remedial works from inspections and servicing programs

Preferred qualifications include further education (HNC/HND/Degree) or relevant construction/maintenance/building qualification.

Experience in a busy Asset Management team, project management, and knowledge of contract administration and building law is desirable.
