The Opportunity

As a result of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a skilled Commercial Account Handler. In this role, you will be responsible for nurturing and expanding relationships with both new and existing clients, as well as exploring new business prospects within the commercial insurance sector.

You will be expected to generate business leads for other departments and deliver top-notch customer service to clients and insurers alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle new business, mid-term adjustments, and renewals within the relevant markets, following company procedures and guidelines, and seeking assistance from senior colleagues, experts, or insurers when faced with unfamiliar issues.
  • Ensure that all interactions with insurers or clients are accurately documented in accordance with company protocols.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries promptly, directing complex queries to the appropriate individual when necessary.
  • Provide exceptional service to existing clients, overseeing all aspects of their insurance arrangements, including advising, reviewing, arranging, and securing suitable coverage at competitive rates.
  • Procure and evaluate quotations, propose alternatives when suitable, and maintain accurate records of payments, amendments, and customer queries for the Accounts Department.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as an Insurance Broker or Commercial Account Handler
  • Demonstrated adherence to high standards of FCA compliance
  • Comfortable with an office-based role situated in Sidcup
  • Proficiency in working with insurance IT systems
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with precision
  • Excellent customer service abilities, with a knack for fostering solid relationships with clients and insurers
  • Awareness of regulations and commitment to compliance
  • Pursuit of Cert CII accreditation or existing qualifications

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
