  • Vacancy ID We are currently recruiting for a temporary Communications Assistant to work on site at one of our Geadington based departments starting ASAP until the end of July working 36.5 hrs p/w and paying £13.

Duties:


  • Day to day updates of the Medical Sciences Divisional website, including adding news and staff profiles, and _ad hoc_ content updates across the site.
  • Support the team to meet web accessibility regulations by reviewing and fixing content to ensure the site remains compliant.
  • Assist the team in the production of the monthly internal newsletter and termly briefings, and the weekly/termly events digest.
  • Assist in drafting and scheduling content for the division's social media channels using Hootsuite.
  • Maintain the key Divisional Office mailing lists.
  • Assist with the organisation and scheduling of meetings, including the divisional communication network meetings and training events.
  • Arrange the production and storage of images, including liaising with photographer, scheduling in photos sessions and uploading images to shared database or website.
  • Provide back up support for communications IT systems, such as Oxford Talks and the Image Management system.
  • Update the Divisional Office Induction materials annually, in liaison with HR and Communication teams.
  • Follow the agreed induction process to onboard all new Divisional Office staff.
  • Participate in the Divisional and University's Communication Officers network and/or other relevant networks/groups, and liaise with colleagues within the department and in other parts of the University as necessary.
  • Maintain, and improve as appropriate, recordkeeping and filing systems.
  • Assist in the evaluation of communications activities through a range of tools such as online surveys, feedback forms, and digital analytics.
  • Ensure knowledge of and compliance with the University's policies on GDPR, copyright and other related permissions.
  • Coordinate multiple aspects of work to prioritise and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrable experience of communications activities, both print and digital.
  • Proven experience of having worked in Communications
