junior apprentice and we will help you to build your future. We are looking for an apprentice who will attend college and gain experience in the workplace.

Ideally a school or college leaver who is undecided in what they want to do, just a willingness to learn and have an interest in engineering/welding equipment and a wide range of temporary power solutions.


Adlington Group (Adlington Welding Supplied Ltd) is a premier supplier in its market place for the supply and hire of welding machines, we also have an up-and-coming division AWS Power supplying large diesel generator for temporary power supporting construction, industry, and events.

This year we have been trading for over 50 years and have a three-year plan to expand and diversify so it is a very exciting time to join such a progressive business.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


During the first two years of the apprenticeship, you will develop skills in maintenance, repair and troubleshooting and will attend college.

Undertake, overhaul, repair or refurbishment work on the machines;

  • Carry out standard diagnostic tests on machine components;
  • Carry out planned maintenance and general repairs;
  • Check and record all parts and materials required for machine preparation work.
  • Preparing equipment ready and safe for hire in our workshop
  • Complying with health and safety regulations

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to communicate with customers in writing, over the phone and facetoface
  • Motivated to solve engineering problems
  • Passionate about starting a career within the hire and construction industry
  • A flexible approach to work and learning
  • Team player
  • Embracing all regardless of their background or diversity (inclusive)
  • Education:
  • GCSE's or equivalent in English and Maths
  • You must be aged 16+ and have the right to live and work in the UK.
As well as the exciting opportunity to train with us you will receive:

Salary:
£5.28-£7.49 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
