Principal Electrical Engineer – To £75K + hybrid working + progression + no office politics.

Ready to step up into an Associate Director or Technical Director role within 12 months?


Due to growth, I'm looking for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join a 300 strong, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, based in London office.


Reporting to the M&E Director ((a down to earth, supportive and level headed individual) you'll be responsible for leading projects from RIBA Stages 2-4a, assisting with the mentoring and managing the electrical team (currently consisting of 2 x Seniors, 1 x Intermediate and 1 x Junior) and maintaining key existing client relationships with architects, developers, and project managers.


Supported by their Electrical Director when required, you'll enjoy a lot of autonomy, a hybrid policy (3/2 split between office and home) and regular social activities.


Interacting with the other in-house Civil, Structural, Energy, Electrical and Public Health Engineers you'll get involved in an interesting range of projects.

Some of their recently completed projects ( from their London office) include Royal Wharf London (£2B development), the new HQ for Royal Academy of Dance, a major de-carbonisation strategy for a listed castle and even an airport facility in Bermuda


You'll have a choice of two career paths; and be able to move into either an Associate Director role or more of a Technical Director role within 12 months.

However, if you'd prefer to stay at a Principal level, then that's also OK, there won't be any pressure for you to step up into a management role.


Key requirementsnStrong technically with at least seven (7) years' experience in the design of electrical, building services.nPrevious experience working for a consultancy or design and build contractor.nBroad range of project experience to include residential, education, commercial and mixed-use.nAble to lead projects and lead a team of engineers.
