The Principal Electrical Engineer is a key member of the engineering team contributing to the growth and success of the company's projects.

List of Responsibilities:

  • Able to represent the practice at the project level.
  • Demonstrate responsibility for projects.
  • Undertake design reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Develop engineering solutions and prepare detailed calculations and sketches.
  • Utilize engineering software tools such as Dialux, Relux, Amtech Pro Design, and Navisworks.
  • Review construction drawings and documentation.
  • Prepare and issue RFI's.
  • Review supplier packages for compliance.
  • Monitor procurement schedule and technical submittals.
  • Review inspection plans and coordinate with the quality team.
  • Monitor requirements like LEED and BREEAM.
  • Prepare operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Assist with client demonstrations and commissioning stage.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in electrical project engineering.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of electrical, fire alarm, and emergency lighting standards.
  • Familiarity with engineering software packages is advantageous.
