Looking for a skilled Senior IT Systems Engineer to join a well-known company and contribute significantly to maintaining their digital environment. If you enjoy troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring smooth system operations, this position might be ideal for you.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of hands-on IT support experience, with a focus on continuous learning.
- Proficient in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, along with server administration.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
- Strong scripting abilities for automating tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain IT systems, covering hardware, software, and networking elements.
- Respond promptly to support requests, resolving technical issues and reducing downtime.
- Collaborate with IT colleagues and departments for implementing new technologies and enhancing existing systems.
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks like updates, patches, and backups.
- Document IT procedures, processes, and configurations for effective knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to planning and executing IT projects from start to finish.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members in the IT department.
- Act as the IT Manager when required, offering expert technical support to the team.
- Support IT needs at various sites, working closely with external IT support partners and internal IT staff.
- Key role in software transition within Sales departments, providing support, coaching, data management, and reporting.
- Handle fault finding and provide support for network, printer, desktop, and laptop issues.
- Mentor and supervise the IT Technician for their professional growth.
- Collaborate with third-party IT service providers and software vendors to tackle technical challenges.
- Identify opportunities to enhance workflows and streamline processes through innovative solutions.
