Job Overview

As a Residential Support Worker, your primary responsibilities include providing emotional assistance to our youth and assisting them with day-to-day tasks like personal hygiene, getting dressed, and facilitating their daily routines. During weekend shifts, you won't spend much time at the home as the real fun happens outside, at theme parks, bowling alleys, cinemas, and zoos. Work becomes so enjoyable that you might even forget you're on duty.

While there will be enjoyable moments, there will also be challenges since our homes cater to young individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and various social and emotional needs. However, our Residential Support Workers often find that the strong bonds and lasting memories they create with the youth make up for any difficulties. Witnessing a young person overcome obstacles and progress is incredibly rewarding for them.

Note: Candidates for this position MUST possess a full UK driving license due to the home's location.

Our homes provide a unique community-based learning and living environment to support some of the most vulnerable children and young individuals in the region. The team helps children and youth between 8 and 18 years old integrate fully into the local community and prepares them for a successful transition beyond Aspris Scotland.
