M&A Executive at Shaw & Co
The primary role of the M&A Executive is to support the business with deal delivery, pipeline development, and turning new opportunities into mandates. Reporting directly to the Directors, the Executive will collaborate with a team of Executives, Assistant Managers, and Managers in a fast-paced environment, allowing for quick development of corporate finance skills.
Our Executives are chosen for their eagerness to learn and positive attitude towards driving deals and business growth, rather than prior corporate finance experience. This opportunity is perfect for an accounting professional seeking a fresh and exciting role.
Aside from the responsibilities mentioned, the Executive will also be expected to contribute to winning work by supporting the team with pitches, proposals, research for new prospects, and nurturing relationships with key partners.
Role ResponsibilitiesThese include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in preparing businesses for the market, such as populating virtual data rooms, reviewing financial models, drafting information memorandums, and building buyers' lists.
- Supporting active marketing efforts by reaching out to potential buyers and investors.
- Managing deal administration tasks such as document distribution and due diligence processes.
- Preparing company valuations, formulating value bridges, and managing inputs for completion funds flow statements.
- Engaging in frequent client contact for deal management.
- Accounting knowledge gained in practice.
- Ability to build client relationships and offer professional advice.
- Strong organizational skills for time-sensitive assignments.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and financial analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pride in delivering quality work with sound judgement and initiative.
- Ethical work approach with respect for risk management and compliance.
- Professional qualification ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years' professional experience.
- Competitive base salary (£50,000 per annum, reviewed annually in March).
- Bonus scheme (up to 10% of salary and uncapped profit share).
- Equity incentive through EMI scheme.
