Job Description

We are looking for a Health & Safety Quality Coordinator to join our team at our Skelmersdale site. As a Health & Safety Quality Coordinator, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining Health & Safety and Quality for the Transport and Warehouse Operations in Skelmersdale and the Midlands.

Key responsibilities of a Health & Safety Coordinator:

  • Promote a safe and transparent working environment
  • Lead documentation for Health & Safety meetings
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environment policies
  • Provide updated guidance and information to teams
  • Conduct Health & Safety audits
  • Attain super user status on specified systems
  • Maintain necessary safety staff quotas
  • Conduct regular site tours
  • Manage training documentation
  • Review SSOW & Risk Assessments
  • Support quality compliance
  • Analyze data trends
  • Assist in accident reporting
  • Coordinate external risk assessments
  • Develop H&S representatives
  • Promote safety awareness
  • Conduct site checks and corrective actions
  • Assist EHS Manager
  • Manage safety licences and inspections
  • Monitor contractor compliance
  • Ensure external quality accreditations
  • Keep information boards updated
Qualifications

As a Health & Safety Coordinator, you should have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification preferred
  • CPC certification advantageous
  • Train the Trainer certification beneficial
  • Proficient in using computers
