Senior Hardware Engineer at Power Electronics Manufacturer - Cambridge/Hybrid

An Electronics manufacturer specializing in Power Electronics is searching for a skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to join their innovative R&D team dedicated to designing cutting-edge Power Electronics solutions for various industries such as rail & automotive.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative hardware solutions and enhance existing designs
  • Manage the full design life cycle from concept to release
  • Collaborate with a small, diverse team of Electronics Hardware & Software Engineers
  • Efficiently manage time to ensure project delivery within deadlines


Key Skills/Experience:

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in PCB design & Layout (Altium experience preferred)
  • Experience in Analogue & Digital Circuit Design
  • Conduct functional tests and verifications
  • Knowledge of FPGA design & simulation, VHDL/Verilog

Any combination of the following is a plus:

  • Experience in Power Electronics (DC-DC converters etc.)
  • Knowledge of Embedded Software (Embedded C/C++)
  • Familiarity with Microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, M-Series etc.)
  • Understanding of Networking protocols/Communication interfaces (Ethernet, MODBUS, TCP/IP etc.)
