This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.

The role of Interim Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Teaching and Curriculum Leadership has become available to cover our colleague, who is currently undertaking another position at the University. You will work closely with the Interim PVC for Education and Student Experience (ESE) in the development, implementation and delivery of the University's overarching teaching and curriculum strategy. This includes major projects and initiatives in support of the Access and Participation Plan, and the Teaching Excellence Framework.

You will provide leadership and support to the development of teaching and curriculum activities to enhance student education and experience. You will lead the development and implementation of specific policies and projects. This will include engaging key stakeholders and partners and promoting excellence in teaching and learning to deliver high quality standards. You will ensure that review mechanisms are fit for purpose and aligned with both University strategy and regulatory requirements.

We are seeking applications from highly motivated people whose background, experience and identity broadens and enhances the diversity of our existing leadership team.

You can demonstrate effective leadership and management, both strategically and operationally, of a Faculty, School, Department, or other academic Unit, or have successfully led a key University-wide initiative.

You will work with a wide range of people within the University and outside. You are a confident presenter with the ability to communicate in a large range of formal and informal settings. Your analysis, judgement and problem solving will be key to success in this role.

With a recognised profile of personal achievement in leading pedagogy and scholarship of teaching and learning, you will have good knowledge of the University and its teaching and learning activities, and management structures. A deep understanding of the digital environment and the changes needed to help deliver the University's digital strategy in the ESE space is also required.

The post will be offered on a fixed term basis from 1st August until 31st December 2024. This role is offered on a 0.8FTE basis with the opportunity for a job share.
