Global E&C have a requirement for a Software Developer to join the team on a permanent basis in Aberdeen .
You will find a key role in ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software development and systems integration. You will be accountable for developing and testing our internal systems, and integrating these with externally provided systems, and contributing to the Digitalisation processes.
Your regular duties will include:
- Developing and maintaining our Slingshot digital eco-system.
- Creating and maintaining integrations between our software and third-party systems, including developing API's to enable access to Slingshot.
- Actively document (BMS, guides and Wiki) all aspects of the work; existing code as it is understood, new developments as they are created.
- Contributing actively to regular stand-ups.
- Supporting the Business Analysts in understanding existing technical functionality to ensure effective Functional Specifications are prepared.
- Supporting the Support Analyst as issues arise and take responsibility to investigate and resolve bugs.
To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate:
- Skills and experience of C#, .NET, Entity Framework.
- Knowledge or experience of Blockchain technology.
- Excellent SQL skills.
- Experience with Microsoft DevOps or similar.
- Experience with distributed version control, preferably Git, and associated repository considerations and branching strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable interest in keeping current with constantly changing technology.
