The role


Wessex Water is one of the top performing water and sewerage companies in the UK, serving 2.9 million customers across the South West of England.

As a Water Recycling Operator, you will manage the operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards.

You will also be involved in running advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants. You will play a big part in the team by ensuring compliance with company policy, processes and procedures. You must also ensure the health, safety and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times.

We are a safety-first employer, therefore you will treat the health, safety and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself with the utmost importance at all times.


Additionally, you will need to be flexible with working hours that include weekends, as you will be required to provide emergency cover on the standby rota, with a view to participate in a shift pattern when applicable (an average of 40 hours per week).


What do you need?
Due to the nature of this role, holding a
valid driving licence is essential. Confined spaces training will be provided.
