Global Procurement Manager | IT / Technology | 12 month FTC

£65,000 + benefits

Overview:

I am assisting a renowned global tech company in hiring a Global Procurement Manager. This role involves coordinating and overseeing strategic sourcing activities within the IT & Technology category.

The company prioritizes work-life balance by offering a hybrid work model – 2 days in the office and the rest working remotely.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop IT procurement strategy for related projects.
  • Establish and maintain a Category Plan with a pipeline and objectives aligned with business goals.
  • Lead major procurement projects in areas like End User Computing, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, SaaS, and PaaS, along with outsourced contracts.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments.
  • Assist stakeholders in managing budget and resources to meet business plan objectives through the procurement process.
  • Play a key role in supporting stakeholders in service reviews, contracts, supplier performance management, and contract management.
  • Provide strategic direction to management, including recommended supplier sourcing decisions and implementation plans.
  • Work with Indirect Procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support key IT procurement activities, identify vendor consolidation opportunities, and ensure consistent procurement processes and governance.

Skills and experience required:

  • Prior experience in global and regional IT procurement projects.
  • Experience in managing full tender processes, ideally across multiple IT subcategories and services.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills at all levels, including senior management, with the ability to influence effectively.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines while maintaining stakeholder communication.
  • Proven track record in supplier relationship management and negotiation within high-value procurement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently with a logical approach.

Salary and Benefits:
