Treasury Analyst

PURPOSE
This role involves managing daily cash operations and administrative responsibilities within the Treasury department. Responsibilities include overseeing cash management procedures for all European entities supported by the UK-based Treasury team.

In addition, the incumbent will be required to offer support and fill in for the Senior Treasury Analyst.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in daily liquidity management
• Prepare daily cash positions across various currencies
• Initiate payment requests on a daily basis using payment systems
• Execute foreign exchange transactions through FX dealing systems
• Handle intercompany cash for corporate and settlement processes
• Aid in creating monthly cash flow forecasts
• Ensure accurate recording of all Treasury activities in the Oracle accounting system
• Maintain precise records of bank account activity in the Kyriba system
• Generate monthly accounting general ledger interfaces
• Assist in analyzing FX risk for new products and merchants
• Provide necessary analysis support, including developing models to enhance financial exposure understanding
• Help prepare monthly MI reporting requested by Corporate Treasury
• Monitor interest income and expenses to ensure timely accruals
• Supervise bank charges to ensure fund segregation
• Monitor Safeguarded Bank Accounts and promptly report any violations
• Develop and uphold Treasury operating procedures

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS or ABILITIES / BEHAVIOUR)
• Expertise in the card retail and/or financial services sectors
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Analytical with robust relationship management and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in computer operations – particularly in Excel, with desirable Macro knowledge
• Capability to work independently and manage workload efficiently within strict timelines

QUALIFICATIONS
• Completion of 'A' levels, preferably with a degree
• Part-qualified in accountancy and/or treasury, or equivalent experience of at least 2 years
