Large Loss Household Claims Negotiator Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time Eastleigh or Gloucester, Hybrid Large Loss Household Claims Negotiator:

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an enthusiastic individual dedicated to a role in Large Loss as a Large Loss Claims Negotiator in our Technical Household claims team.

As a Large Loss Claims Negotiator, you will focus on overseeing all aspects of large loss claims handling. You will actively participate in Large Loss project work. You will collaborate with other areas of the business, such as underwriting and actuarial. Main Responsibilities as Large Loss Household Claims Negotiator:
  • Investigation and assessment of Household large loss claims including determining policy indemnity, legal liability, causation and quantum
  • Maximizing claims settlements to ensure prompt and cost-effective resolution of your claims portfolio in the best interests of Ageas and our policyholders
  • Taking charge of your personal development by staying updated on relevant legal changes, insurance regulations, and industry trends
  • Engaging in broader Large Loss Household claims initiatives
Skills and experience you need as Large Loss Household Claims Negotiator:
  • A strong background in handling household/commercial large loss claims exceeding £150,000
  • Ability to solve problems and devise innovative solutions for complex issues
  • Quick assimilation of information and identification of key areas for claim handling
  • Numerical and data literacy skills
  • Experience in mentoring junior team members is advantageous
