Health & Safety Advisor at Groundbreaking Scientific Business

We are thrilled to be partnering with a pioneering scientific company that prioritizes sustainability in their operations, in their quest for a Health & Safety Advisor to enhance their team.

With their cutting-edge technology advancing rapidly and poised to revolutionize sustainable manufacturing on a global scale, this opportunity comes at a pivotal moment as the company experiences exponential growth.

Working closely with senior leadership, your primary focus will be to ensure stringent HSE protocols are ingrained at the heart of the organization. Serving as the go-to expert for all HSE affairs within the company, you will collaborate closely to integrate top-notch standards across all departments.

For the right candidate, there is a substantial personal development blueprint in place. The role entails occasional travel to a sister site in East Anglia, with all expenses catered for, once a week. The company's premises are conveniently located to the North of Cambridge City with ample parking facilities.

  • Report to Management and provide expertise in Health & Safety, aiding in the establishment, enhancement, monitoring, and evaluation of safety protocols
  • Supervise and reinforce adherence to pertinent safety regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Lead the development, dissemination, and execution of safety campaigns
  • Collaborate with external consultants to ensure alignment with current health and safety best practices
  • Chair the Safety Committee and furnish management with comprehensive reports
  • Train research personnel to operate efficiently and securely in laboratory settings
  • Conduct thorough in-house audits of H&S protocols and training initiatives

Role Requirements:
Holding a NEBOSH certification and familiarity with ISO45001 guidelines
2-3 years' hands-on experience in a Health and Safety capacity, preferably within a research-oriented setting, demonstrating adeptness in good laboratory practice and occupational safety fundamentals

    Highly structured with keen attention to detail, proficient in organizing, designing, and meeting strict deadlines
  • Proficient in problem-solving and adept at handling multiple tasks concurrently
