The role:


Reporting to the Credit Supervisor, you'll be joining a friendly office who have a reputation for excellence, superb development opportunities to people keen to be part of their continued growth.

This will be a challenging and rewarding role in an environmentthat enables you to focus on the customer.

As the Credit Controller your key responsibilities would be:

  • Management of accounts at/or exceeding their assigned credit limits.
  • Identifying and reporting changes in risk / payment patterns.
  • Timely escalation of problematic accounts to Credit Supervisor to assist with and facilitate next step collection procedures.
  • Month end processing of ledgers and aged debt.
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts to achieve full payment within agreed terms.
  • Attending internal aged debt meetings with Sales Managers to assist with query resolution to facilitate payment.
  • Liaising with Sales/Operational team members and Customers to identify and resolve all queries to facilitate cash collection.
  • Management of the New Account Opening Procedure within IFS/Command once approved by the Credit Manager.
  • Provision of copy documents to customers (PODs/Invoices). Providing excel statements to customers for reconciliation purposes and as part of the month end process.
  • Effective interaction and communication with management, customers, sales/credit control administrator, internal and external sales teams and operational staff.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Knowledge of IFS or similar accounting package is useful.
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and to organise and prioritise effectively.
  • To be a flexible team player, prepared to adapt to growth and changes in procedures and protocols in our developing business.
  • This role would suit someone who has previous credit control/administration experience, however full training and support will be provided.
