Due to significant growth, we are hiring an experienced and energetic soft play supervisor with proven leadership skills to join our fantastic team.

This is a full time position offering an excellent basic salary.

The Rascal Ranch is open Mon-Sunday 10:00-18:00, Hours of work will be full time and will include weekend's and the occasional evening.

We do not require you to work split shifts.


We are hiring an experienced and energetic Front of house supervisor with proven leadership skills to join our fantastic team.


Within the Rascal Ranch Café all our food is made to order, we offer a range of cooked sandwiches, hot food and daily specials to run alongside our menu.


We want to hear from you if you can bring ideas, leadership, creativity, enthusiasm and energy to our already lively and busy Café and soft play.


The role requires you to take responsibility for the front of house at all times in line with the company guidelines.

This includes managing our team in the indoor soft play area and children's party's.


The role requires you to supervise the running of the soft play area, which can be anything from checking our guests in, taking orders on the till, preparing and running coffee and drinks to tables, helping host children's parties, to cleaning the play frame itself.

There may also be times where you are required to help our team in the café.

Job role is as follows:

  • Create a weekly or biweekly schedule for employees, bearing in mind holidays and times of high volume for the business
  • Keep a log of any health and safety incidents and near misses in the soft play/kitchen.
  • Ensuring the safe operation of the site through compliance management and accurate reporting.
  • Implementing health and safety procedures and ensuring safety at all times carrying out risk assessments.
  • Maintaining very high standards of cleanliness and hygiene by conducting walkarounds of the building, creating cleaning lists and ensuring staff are compliant with the completion of daily duties.
  • Liaise with the reception/administrative team to ensure the smooth booking and running of parties taking place in the ranch.
  • Overseeing weekly stock inventories and passing on to appropriate management to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Creating a fun, welcoming environment for all customers, both on the sales floor and through the hosting of parties.
  • Monitor and supervise the timely arrival of scheduled employees, with aware of unforeseen challenges such as scheduling
  • Train and encourage employees on an ongoing basis to ensure a great experience for all customers.
  • Team development and promotion of a positive work environment/positive culture.
  • Implementation and following of HR processes as and when required.
  • Attend leadership meetings, training sessions and development workshops as required by the business.
  • Achieve and succeed KPI's and profitability targets.
  • Organisation of any events to generate additional profits such as anniversaries, seasonal holidays etc.
  • Liaising with management to establish budgets, keeping as cost efficient as possible.
  • Maintain scheduling for the open and closure of the building, ensuring there is cover when necessary.
  • Oversee the handling of money and establish accountability by ensuring each register is properly funded with the correct amount of cash and close out each register to ensure all funds are accounted for
  • Help to create creative content for social media channels and assist in the development of channels via engaging with the public and local community.
  • Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace, this includes stocking supplies and maintaining clean restrooms and public spaces
  • Ensure company goals and objectives are being met by each employee and provide feedback
  • Ensure proper approval for customer discounts, returns and exchanges while providing customer satisfaction and positive interaction with the company
  • Oversee and administer tests to ensure employees have a firm understanding of company policy
  • Quick and efficient response to any incidents of a critical nature or emergency.
