HOURS OF WORK:

Minimum of 40 hours per week

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To clean bedrooms and public areas to the highest standard ensuring keen attention to detail and excellent customer awareness.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • To ensure all areas, especially bedrooms and bathrooms, adhere to the hotel's high hygiene standards.
  • To ensure all public conveniences are thoroughly cleaned and fully stocked.
  • To assist in the cleaning of the front of house and reception area to ensure that it appears fresh and inviting to guests.
  • To ensure that fruit, flowers, refreshments and literature are present in every room.
  • To ensure that the pantry is well stocked and tidy at all times.

This list of duties is not exhaustive and additional duties may be required within reason for the better fulfilment of the role and the needs of the business.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To complete all Health & Safety and Job Skills training as required.
  • To work in accordance with company Health & Safety guidelines especially in relation to Hazard and Accident
  • To be responsible for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and relevant EC directives.
  • To provide a healthy and comfortable working environment, smoking is prohibited throughout the Hotel.
  • To undertake any training/coaching required by the Company to enable you to perform your duties effectively.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • To understand the importance of cleanliness on customer satisfaction.
  • To have the ability to work well in a team as well as using own initiative.
  • To have a keen eye for detail.
  • To be hard working and have the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Must be flexible and able to work weekends and bank holidays.
  • Must be able to lift items and change beds on a daily basis.
  • Previous experience in a similar environment would be an advantage.
