Are you an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) looking to develop your career in community mental health?


We are looking for a RMN to join our Older Adults Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) based in Banbury but also covering the Chipping Norton area.

The post is full time, however there is the availability of flexible working
- minimum of 30 hours a week.

The North OA CMHT covers a wide geographical area of North and West Oxfordshire. The multi-disciplinary team have two main bases in Banbury and Witney and also a satellite base/clinic in Chipping Norton.

They provide a range of services and interventions, including assessment and treatment of serious mental health issues, crisis intervention, step up work, physical health monitoring and memory clinics to the catchment population.


The Older Adult CMHTs in Oxfordshire offer a 7 day a week service which is split across 3 different CMHTs.

The main shifts are Monday to Friday 9-5. The teams offers rotational evening cover across Oxfordshire alongside the other Older Adult CMHTs in Oxfordshire (city and south). There are also weekend shifts 9-5, again rotational alongside colleagues in the other OA CMHTs.


The team are friendly and supportive as well as dedicated to providing excellent care and service through evidence-based interventions, research and quality improvement work.

We work closely with families and carers as well as other services including social services who may be involved in supporting our patients/clients who have complex needs.

The team enjoy having a range of students learning and working with them and have gained consistent positive feedback.


The Trust provide many development opportunities for staff through our Learning and development department and links with university's and our Quality Improvement team.

Health Education England are also providing funding within the Trust, to support staff training needs.

The leadership team are committed to continuous development and improvement through supervision, training, reflective practice, peer review and staff wellbeing.

Applicants will need the ability to travel across the area to see patients within their homes, in a location where there are many villages and limited public transport to some of these areas.
