The East Anglian Regional Radiation Protection Service (EARRPS) provides scientific and technical advisory services in the field of radiation protection and diagnostic radiology physics to a range of clients across the region.

We are looking for an Advanced Clinical Technologist to join our team and support the delivery of a range of service aspects depending on skills and experience.


The service promotes systems of work that ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff when using ionising and non-ionising sources of radiation such as x-rays, radioactive materials, lasers and UV cabinets.

A wide range of services are provided including, imaging equipment performance testing and optimisation, radiation facility design and environmental monitoring, patient radiation dose assessment, regulatory audits and advice, instrument calibration, radioactive waste management and, teaching and training.

A passion for service delivery is essential. You should have excellent communication skills and a willingness to engage in multidisciplinary teaching and training.

You will be required to travel throughout the region and may be asked to work from other hospitals in the region, depending on future service developments and individual circumstances.

You will operate within both our HSE-recognised RPA Body and our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
