Machine Operator

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a throughput on machines to achieve output and targets whilst meeting quality standards and ensuring that safe working practices are maintained at all times.
  • Provide temporary cover for colleagues who have to leave their machine(s) whilst still in operation.
  • Load strip as required.
  • Oil presses with correct lubricant
  • Sort, clean and pack components to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Prepare packing materials for components.
  • Ensure batch integrity and correct labelling.
  • Carry out line clearance procedures.
  • Carry out basic maintenance procedures e.g. weekly machine clean downs.
  • Liaise with maintenance to advise on machine problems.
  • Record press readings on statistical process charts in order to assess and, if necessary adjust, the process.
  • Ensure that all compliance and cGMP documentation is completed fully and accurately.
  • Work with and support trainees and colleagues in all departments as required.
  • Respond positively to and work on priority requirements.
