Technical QA to help us achieve our goals.

You'll have experience carrying out manual & automated testing using a variety of tools and have experience working as an advocate for quality.

You will report to the Tech Lead and be part of a cross-functional Agile team consisting of a Product Manager, Data Scientists and Engineers, working as a team to deliver initiatives.

You'll be working with an established development team on business-critical and customer-facing technologies.

You'll be responsible for carrying out manual testing for all new features developed by the team as well as developing automated tests to serve as regression tests going forward.


You'll be an advocate for quality in all aspects of the SDLC, be involved in defining the acceptance criteria for new features and be responsible for ensuring features built adhere to that criteria.

You'll be responsible for prioritising your work and will be expected to share your work progress and feedback with others.


Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is inquisitive, proactive and keen to be challenged, cares deeply about the code they test and is able to bridge the gap between the technical and the business areas of the company effectively.


We want someone who looks further than the technical aspects of the work and cares deeply about the human aspect of our products.


You will have:

  • ISTQB/ISEB Foundation certifications or equivalent certifications as a minimum and be comfortable discussing technical aspects of projects with other testers, developers & business owners
  • A strong background in manual and automated test techniques
  • Understanding of the Software development lifecycle and the need for manual testing
  • An understanding of where & when automation testing fits into the SDLC specifically Agile (Scrum, Kanban, etc)
  • Experience in defining acceptance criteria for user stories
  • Experience using CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins/Drone/CodeBuild
  • Experience defining and executing nonfunctional tests cases using standard testing techniques

The following are considered desirable skills to have:

  • Experience using cloud testing technologies
  • Experience of large language model testing
