Direct Category Manager in Global Fast Moving Consumer Goods firm, based in London 1 day per week
This best-in-class procurement function is looking for a tenacious Category Manager to join their Direct Procurement team, as they undergo rapid expansion, in line with global market trends. Build your portfolio working with this global leading multi-billion pound firm.
If you're looking to join a team of ambitious and likeminded individuals, this role offers the opportunity to advance your skillset, through training and development, working with established stakeholders and suppliers. You will have autonomy over managing high-spend portfolios, and will be instrumental in developing and implementing innovative procurement strategies, using your extensive knowledge of the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Stakeholders:Work closely with key stakeholders and clients to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality materials, while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Drive Innovation:Lead initiatives to enhance procurement processes, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
- Manage Supplier Relationships:Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and innovation.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience:Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end procurement processes, including strategic sourcing and tendering, with a focus on direct spend.
- Negotiation Skills:A successful track record of supplier negotiations, cost-saving initiatives, and supplier relationship management.
- Growth Mindset:Eager to grow and succeed within a dynamic business environment.
Supporting flexible working, you will only be required to work from the London office one day per week. This role offers a competitive salary and generous benefits package.
