We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Coordinator to join our vibrant school community in Newham.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the holistic development and welfare of our students.


Responsibilities:

Wellbeing Advocate:

You will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the wellbeing of a specific year group, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.


Behavioural Management:

Your role will involve effectively managing and resolving behavioural incidents within your assigned year group, implementing strategies to promote positive behavior and address any challenges that may arise.


Promotion of School Rules:

You will work closely with students, staff, and parents to promote adherence to school rules and expectations, reinforcing a culture of respect, responsibility, and cooperation.


Supportive Guidance:

Providing guidance and support to students facing personal or academic challenges, helping them navigate obstacles and reach their full potential.


Collaborative Approach:

Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to develop and implement pastoral support plans tailored to the individual needs of students.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (preferred).

Previous experience working in a pastoral or student support role within a school setting.


Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
