We are looking for an Experienced Bookkeeper in Golders Green for a Full Time position with a Competitive Salary

An established practice based in North West London is seeking an experienced Practice Bookkeeper to assist the partners and Senior Accountants, offering bookkeeping services for various clients across sectors.

The role involves maintaining accounting records for a client portfolio in different sectors, handling VAT and management reports, inputting year-end journals, and other tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of bookkeeping, including multi-currency operations, group accounting, and VAT, with the ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently.

They cater to a diverse client base in terms of size and industry, emphasizing prompt, effective, and amicable service.


Key Responsibilities of Experienced Bookkeeper:
  • Maintaining accurate accounting records for a range of SME clients
  • Using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and others
  • Communicating directly with clients via email, phone, and in person
  • Preparing VAT returns, Year-end Trial Balances, and other essential reports
  • Proposing efficient solutions using automation and external tools

Experience, attributes & skills required:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with bookkeeping qualifications (AAT level 3 or equivalent)
  • Handling client portfolios at an accountancy practice
  • Proficiency in areas like group accounting, multi-currency operations, cross-border VAT, and property development accounting
  • Capable of working independently, showing initiative, and delivering exceptional client service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle client inquiries promptly and accurately
  • Confident, professional, and team-oriented approach
  • IT proficiency with knowledge of SAGE 50, QuickBooks, Xero, and Digita Accounting software (Excel skills are a plus)
