Job Summary

An excellent opportunity is available to join the Health Protection Team in Public Health Wales in Cardiff. We are searching for an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the role of Administration & Resource/Notification Officer. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible and able to effectively manage and reprioritize their workload, especially during outbreak or incident scenarios.

  • Must be able to attend the office regularly.

Main Duties of the Job

The main responsibilities include providing administrative and clerical support for the Public Health Wales Health Protection Service, handling notifications via telephone, managing inboxes, coordinating and distributing resources, and organizing meetings with clear and concise minute-taking.

Additionally, as the primary contact for the All Wales Acute Response Service (AWARe), the role involves receiving complex notifications via telephone and accurately recording them in a national case and incident management system. Managing the telephony system, confidently responding to calls, and liaising with stakeholders are essential tasks.

Other key responsibilities consist of organizing meetings and taking clear, concise minutes, crucial for efficient service provision.

The ability to speak Welsh is advantageous but not mandatory; both English and Welsh speakers are encouraged to apply.
