We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Instructor - Watersports to join our amazing Scout adventure team. This position is based at Scout Adventures Hawkhirst in Hexham.
Salary: £25,685 per annum (pro-rata), Band C, Level 3
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Term: Fixed term until November 2024

About the Lead Instructor Role:
If you're passionate about outdoor adventures for young people, join our team. We are seeking individuals with expertise in Watersports, including the following:
- Paddlesport Qualifications such as Canoe/Kayak Sheltered Water Coach
- Desirable: PB2, Dinghy Instructor, or sailing background
Responsibilities as a Lead Instructor:
- Coaching and supervising the instructing team
- Maintaining accurate records, equipment, and safety procedures
- Developing group programs and timetables
- Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and safety regulations
- Delivering training and activity sessions
- Monitoring session quality and safety standards
- Assisting with bookings and guest interactions
- Adhering to safeguarding protocols and checks
Requirements for Lead Instructor:
- Competency in IT applications
- Staff supervision skills and performance management
- Experience in High Ropes and Target Sports
- Previous work in outdoor education or activity centers
- Leadership and mentoring abilities
- Familiarity with The Scout organization
