Job Overview:

We are offering an enthusiastic, hard-working individual the opportunity to join the business as a Wholesale Meat Trader.


The core of the role is buying products for sale, then liaising with customers and internal staff to ensure all products are sold.

A team player, who can manage their time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed. Works well with their colleagues throughout the business.

Proficiency with computers is essential.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Buying wholesale products from various suppliers
  • Predicting selling patterns to ensure profits are maximised. This involves balancing the risk of running out of stock with the risk of loses on products approaching their use by dates
  • Understanding customer requirements
  • Seeking to expand sales with current and new customers
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure they deliver products on time, with the correct quantity and right specification
  • Helping to increase sales and make the company more efficient
  • Reporting to the Managing Director
