Purpose of the Job

  • To ensure delivery of the H&S activities as defined within the CBRE scope of services contained in the MSA in an aligned and consistent way across EMEA, APAC and the Americas and to the requisite standard.
  • To provide technical management oversight of the CBRE H&S Regional Leads (EMEA, APAC and the Americas) to ensure the above is achieved. This will be carried out in a matrix management structure where the CBRE H&S Regional leads will functionally report to the CBRE Regional Leads (Alliance Directors) while also interfacing significantly with the Client Regional H&S leads. The Global CBRE H&S Director will in turn have significant interface with the Client Global H&S Director and provide global technical support to ensure deliverables are consistent with the global H&S strategy, are globally aligned and reflect best practice.
  • To ensure H&S performance is monitored, reviewed and analysed so as to identify appropriate initiatives & differentiators to ensure performance improvement across all regions.
  • In collaboration with the Client Global H&S leads manage and oversee the implementation of the agreed H&S strategy to ensure a safe, healthy and compliant working environment whilst furthering best practice standards within the business and the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

1 You will be responsible for ensuring the CBRE core H&S activities as defined within the CS H&S strategy are delivered in an aligned and consistent way across EMEA, APAC and the Americas to the requisite and agreed standard, providing technical leadership oversight to the regional CBRE Regional H&S Leads to ensure the same.


2 Driving forward and implementing the CS H&S strategy in accordance with ethical guidelines and the corporate policies of both parties.


3 Assisting with the monitoring and reporting of the agreed contractual H&S related KPI's with demonstrable evidence of legal compliance.

You will have experience of operating at both high level managerial and operational levels across EMEA, APAC and the Americas and understand the various legislative frameworks across respective regions.


4 Developing, implementing, managing & reviewing the account specific H&S business plan and objectives in line with the CS/CBRE plans and objectives.

This will include the long term forecasting and planning for both policy and resource requirements across all regions.

5 Supporting the CS Global H&S lead and CS regional H&S leads where appropriate in their interactions with business line leaders


6 Ensuring a robust and risk based audit assurance programme is developed and delivered to a consistent standard across all regions thereby providing assurance to CBRE and CS that legal compliance is being achieved along with compliance with CS operating procedures.

Ensuring an up to date audit schedule is maintained and the necessary audits are carried out in accordance with this schedule.


7 Ensuring that the systems and processes implemented across all regions reflect the intentions of CBRE and CS and are in compliance with best industry practice (standards to be confirmed).


8 Providing technical oversight support to the CBRE Regional Alliance Directors in their management of the CBRE Regional H&S Leads for EMEA, APAC and the Americas, leading and facilitating the necessary dialogue to resolve any resource conflict or related H&S concern at senior CS stakeholder level.


9 Leading the provision of guidance and practical expertise on H&S topics ensuring there is appropriate day-to-day support and guidance to our team, our supply partners and CS.

10 Responsibilities for effective risk management across CS ROW portfolio. Accountable for coordinating activities across all regions to achieve full compliance related to KPI activities.


11 Leading & supporting initiatives & best practice activities in all areas of H&S management, promoting & maintaining the behaviours and core values of the business.


12 Leading the development & maintenance of the CBRE H&S training plans, supporting its' delivery to enable standards of H&S competence to be achieved and maintained across all regions where CBRE and/or its vendors are operating.

13 Managing the business relationship with externally sourced H&S resources as required.

14 Ensuring the achievement of agreed business functional standards and service level agreements.


15 Ensuring the appropriate performance reports are compiled and maintaining performance monitoring, analysis and review against established metrics & standards to drive continual improvement.
