To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate the following:

  • A strong interest in working with young people with SEND.
  • An understanding of additional learning needs.
  • Experience motivating and facilitating young people to overcome barriers to learning or achieving goals.
  • Problem solving and taking action to keep a young period focussed on their goal.
  • Both selfmotivated with a 'can do' attitude and ability to motivate others.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent) or commitment to gaining within one year of commencement of employment.
  • Level 3 Award in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities, or willingness to work towards.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A respect for confidentiality.
