Purpose of role

  • Work with our Electrical and mechanical installation teams, assisting with all aspects of Electrical installation. This includes but is not limited to Matchmarking, Isolations, Reconnections, Reenergisation and installation of machinery.
  • Working as or following the instruction of Beck & Pollitzer supervisors, ensuring work is carried out Safely, efficiently and effectively in accordance with scheduling, health and safety requirements.
Purpose of role

  • Work with our Electrical and mechanical installation teams, assisting with all aspects of Electrical installation. This includes but is not limited to Matchmarking, Isolations, Reconnections, Reenergisation and installation of machinery.
  • Working as or following the instruction of Beck & Pollitzer supervisors, ensuring work is carried out Safely, efficiently and effectively in accordance with scheduling, health and safety requirements.

Main responsibilities

  • Working to Lock out procedures, Internally trained as Senior Appointed person or appointed person (Duty Holder)
  • Match marking as part of removal and reinstallation of electrical equipment
  • Ability to read and understand electrical Drawings
  • Undertake fault finding where required
  • Assisting Electrically with the Assembly,dismantling of machine tools, conveyor systems, mechanical handling equipment and process/production line equipment.
  • Carry out installation of Cable tray, trunking to layout drawings.
  • Pulling in and removal of new and existing cables
  • Work as part of a team assisting other trades.

Essential

  • Good standard of education
  • Apprenticeship/Improver/ time served Electrician, Technician
  • City & Guilds, JIB ECS Required
  • CSCS Card
  • Read mechanical/Electrical layout drawings.
  • Excellent Health & Safety knowledge and Standards
  • The ability to demonstrate a pragmatic and 'common sense' approach to problem solving
  • Fully flexible regarding working hours and days working, including weekends, out of hours.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience of working within 'time critical' production environments.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage time effectively.

Desirable

  • Electrical Test equipment
  • Other industrial certification ie Abrasive wheels/Work at Height
  • IPAF (Cherry Picker/Scissor lift licence.)
  • Display a flexible 'can do' approach

  • Selfmotivated professional and energetic, both within a team and independently.
