What you'll be doing
The Commissioning Manager will take a lead role in the management of commission across a programme of projects coordinating commissioning for the delivery of a range of projects and providing assurance to ensure that standards are appropriate for the deliveredworks.
A key focus is ensuring that the delivery of projects aligns with required project outcomes and operational requirements and that commissioning is holistic across engineering disciplines and effectively managed.
They will also be responsible for developing the processes and procedures Major Projects will need to manage the assurance and technical handover of the projects to Operations.
This will involve close working with Operations and the wider Delivery Team to ensurethat appropriate documentation is available at the key milestones.
What you should bring to the role:
- Strong technical background
- Chartership is preferred but not essential, technical discipline related to MEICA essential.
- Engineering degree is essential
- Extensive experience in Commissioning Complex Projects, project delivery and working with Contractors
- Experience in holding individuals who do not report to you accountable for their delivery
- Ability to manage groups of commissioning specialists to deliver across a multicontract programme of work.
- Own and resolve commissioning risks and issues across project delivery activities, including instinct for timely escalation
