Job Title: Deputy Commissioning Manager

As a Deputy Commissioning Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering commissioning projects that meet national legal requirements and client specifications. Your expertise will be essential in providing commissionability input into detail design and construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Commissioning technicians under your direct responsibility.
  • Adhere to the Commissioning Quality Management System and ensure team members apply procedures, codes, and standards correctly.
  • Interface with the Client team and other project disciplines.
  • Provide functional inputs to Commissioning Deliverables.
  • Monitor and report day-to-day progress.
  • Assist in the identification of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) requirements.
  • Responsible for production and checking of Commissioning Test Documentation.
  • Ensure all mandatory test pre-requisites are in place.
  • Carry out Risk Assessment and produce Safe Systems of Work.
  • Execute commissioning tests to schedule.
  • Review and acceptance of completed test records.
  • Compile and review Commissioning LTQR packages.
  • Provide discipline-specific subject matter expertise.
  • Plan commissioning execution activities.
Requirements:
  • Level 4 Qualification (e.g. HNC) preferred, but commissioning-specific experience may be considered in lieu of qualification.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
  • CSCS/ECS Affiliated cards (in date) in specific discipline.
  • Member of institution (IET etc.) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Electrical & Instrumentation and Control Systems commissioning experience.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Previous site experience (nuclear).
  • AWE experience.
  • Familiarity with commissioning procedures for TCA's, Fob's (or CR's) and handover.
  • Experience of managing a team of Principal Commissioning Engineers.
  • Mechanical Bias Preferred.
