We need a highly motivated Quantity Surveyor with experience to be part of our Exeter team. As a crucial part of the management team, you'll ensure the financial accuracy and success of our civil engineering projects.


What you'll be doing:
  • Prepare precise cost estimates for civil engineering projects, covering materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to devise cost-effective project plans.
  • Keep an eye on project budgets and financial performance, spotting cost-saving chances and potential risks.
  • Manage sub-contractor procurement
  • Handle contract negotiations, change orders, and variations.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering
  • Carry out site measurements, valuations, and final accountsWhat you need:
  • Experience in a Civil Engineering setting
  • Demonstrated expertise as a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator in civil engineering projects
  • Sound understanding of construction techniques, materials, and costing principles.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
