Job summary:


The Defence College of Logistics, Policing and Administration (DCLPA) delivers training to the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force service personnel in Logistics, Education, Administration and Provost.

Based across three main sites in the UK the College provides a mixture of classroom and practical training facilities, the DCLPA delivers training to 22,000 students each year.


DCLPA is made up of HQ DCLPA based at Worthy Down, Defence School of Logistics and Administration also in Worthy Down, Defence School of Policing and Guarding in Southwick Park, and Defence School of Transport in Leconfield.


This role sits within Assurance Team for the College and is an ideal opportunity for an individual to develop new skills and experience in a high-profile dynamic situation.

You will join an already established team consisting of military and civil service colleagues delivering and supporting training.

Job description:


We are looking for a motivated applicant with good communication skills to join our diverse team within the Training Assurance department.


The successful applicant will be required to provide independent Quality Assurance by conducting Audits of Data Protection, Training Management Systems, Duty of Care structures and procedures across the College on an annual basis.


To provide Direction and Guidance on data protection, training, duty of care and Continuous Improvement, to assure that across the DCLPA, the Commandant is operating within legal and policy frameworks set out in Defence and Army instructions.


The post holder will be required to travel to other Military establishments across the UK covered by this role on a regular basis and some visits may require overnight stays.

  • Conduct Assurance audits of data protection processes, training and the provision of Duty of Care throughout the DCLPA.
  • Assure the college is operating within the Data Protection frameworks set out in Defence and Army instructions, providing reports and updates as required.
  • Identification, recording and promulgation of Data Protection Good Practice throughout DCLPA.
  • Coordinate and Chair Data Protection meetings with external and internal stakeholders.
  • The production and amendment of Policy directives.
