What's the role?:


As the UK&I Sales Director your main duties are to help the business to identify, develop, and implement sales strategies based on our company targets and objectives.

With the focus being on delivering and exceeding the UK&I sales targets & forecasts, and drive improvements in the sales process to maximise the sales potential of the business.

You'll utilise your strategic thinking experience as well as a hands-on approach, delivering tactics daily.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll manage the delivery of all activities that drive increased sales in the UK& Ireland for Millboard.

Key Responsibilities:


You'll lead, manage and drive the sales performance of Millboard; creating lean, customer focused and value adding operations, growing market share and profitability.

In conjunction with the CEO, you'll be actively involved in the determination and delivery of a sales strategy that significantly grows the business, while delivering on the Mission, Vision and Values of Millboard in all areas, leading the business to ensure all colleagues embrace the community values that are imperative to the Millboard board.


  • Responsibility for UK & Ireland sales targets
  • Continual review of team processes and best practices
  • Develop strategies for specific Key Accounts
  • Assist and support in meetings held with top contacts within the key accounts when required
  • Work with Head of Business Development to develop BD strategy and ensure lead generation is achieving desired results
  • Manage and own the KPR performance scheme, and related bonuses schemes
  • Responsible for working with sales departmental managers to identify recruitment needs
  • Working with our Approved Installer Program team to maximise the impact of the scheme
  • Work closely with Head of Customer Experience to ensure that CX is our focus at every point
  • Develop and mentor the sales team, identifying training requirements to maximise sales effectiveness
  • Drive accountability and productivity through the teams

Your Background and Experience:

  • Experienced Sales Director who has enjoyed full sales responsibility in a similar sized or larger premium manufacturing & logistics business.
  • Good understanding of the decking / cladding or construction materials market and its many routes to market, both nationally and internationally. Good understanding of the distributor sales model
  • Hands on commercial and operational management, project/programme management and a proven track record of delivering commercial and operational KPIs, revenue and profit targets.
  • Experience of developing commercial capability, growing sales and market share
  • Management of projects with financial, technical and commercial risk.
  • Experience of Commercial Management, Customer Relationship Management and Operations
  • Management of Quality, Cost, Delivery objectives
  • Experience of change management initiatives and customercentric programmes
  • Risk Management processes.
  • Experience of team building and culture development
  • Proven track record of delivering significant improvements in margins
  • Experience of tendering processes, contract negotiation and management
  • Experience in a premium/market leading brand environment
  • Experience in GTM and RTM strategies
