Torbay Pharmaceuticals have an exciting opportunity within the Validation Team for a
Process, Cleaning, Container/Closure Integrity (PV/CV/CCI) Validation Technician


The Validation team are a team of nine who oversee the validation of all equipment & processes across Torbay Pharmaceuticals (TP).

This role is predominately Monday to Friday but flexibility is occasionally required.


You
do not need to have had previous experience working in validation but you will need to have worked in a science based role, ideally with an understanding of GMP or working to regulatory standards.


Due to the nature of the role you will need to have great attention detail with strong communication and time management skills to progress multiple ongoing projects - we are looking for someone who can adapt to shifting priorities.


Working within validation allows you to work with all departments collaboratively to ensure that appropriate validation is performed which leads to the consistent manufacture of quality & safe essential medicines.

You will be part of a team that provide assurance that only quality medicinal products are produced and supplied.

You will be working to provide a process, cleaning and container closure integrity system for use within Production.


To liaise with production, packaging and Quality Control to ensure samples are taken and tested in accordance with the requirements for validation.

You will be required to collate and report results forming logical conclusions and present your findings

  • Please note: On occasion you will be working within a controlled/graded cleanroom environment whilst wearing specialist cleanroom gowning to minimise contamination
  • You will need to be able to work within restricted physical environments_

Qualifications
Essential criteria

  • NVQ 3 in science or similar equivalent or related scientific based employment experience. (as a minimum)
Desirable criteria

  • Diploma in a science discipline

Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria

  • Strong scientific knowledge with understanding of statistical principles.
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Proven track record of effective time management skills to progress multiple ongoing projects within specified deadlines.
  • Experience in completing GMP documentation and report writing.
Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of National and International guidance on validation i.e. ICH Guidelines.
  • British, European and US pharmacopeia, in regards to the sampling, testing and reporting of analysis and the MHRA's Guide to GMP
  • Previous employment within a pharmaceutical or GMP manufacturing facility Skills or quality compliance role.

  • Competent in Excel, Word and able to adapt to other computer programs
