The Search


Altus Partners has partnered with a growing UK headquartered Private Equity Investment Manager that is looking to bring on Director to sit in the investment team and implement the portfolio monitoring and performance function.

The business has been on asteady growth plan and is looking to continue its trajectory and in so is looking to develop out its portfolio monitoring function.

The role will work with the deals team and senior management in implementing a robust and efficient portfolio management functionthat will streamline the data and analytics around the current portfolio whilst being a vital part of the structuring of new investment vehicles and deals.

The role will support the head of the investment team and work closely with the Principals in supportingthe deals process whilst business partnering with internal and external stakeholders.


The Role


The role will be responsible for implementing and streamlining the internal portfolio performance and monitoring function around the current portfolio.

The role will be responsible for the design of internal framework around portfolio metrics, portfoliomonitoring, trade execution, system implementation, portfolio analysis and reporting.

The role will be responsible for structuring of new investment vehicles whilst working alongside the deals team to structure and onboard new investments.

The role will beresponsible for reviewing internal systems and implementing new technology that will allow the business to manage its data efficiently.

The role will be the main point of contact for portfolio performance metrics and business partner with the finance, operations,investor relations, deals and senior management teams.


Responsibilities:

The role includes but is by no means limited to the following:

  • Performance analysis and reporting
  • Portfolio rebalancing lead
  • Trade execution lead
  • Management of systems, research, custody and data suppliers, to support the profitable and compliant expansion of the team
  • Transaction support
  • Structuring new investment vehicles and SPVs

Portfolio management responsibilities including:

  • Maintenance of live portfolio metrics across mandates
  • Facilitating reporting and insights across the business
  • Facilitating analysis supporting proactive decision making across the existing portfolios
  • Lead on portfolio holding AGM voting
  • Investee company Board engagement
  • ESG monitoring and reporting
  • Support on the launch of new mandates, from a middle office perspective
  • Familiarity with MAR, MiFid and Best Execution are core technical requirements.

Requirements:

years in a Private Equity or Venture Capital portfolio management or portfolio performance function

  • Experience in implementing new technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in streamlining new processes and controls.
  • Strong proficiency in managing large streams of data.
  • Experience in structuring of new funds or SPVs
  • Previous experience in an investment role is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in implanting robust controls in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
