HSBC Asset Management (AM), the investment management arm of the HSBC Group, caters to a diverse global clientele, offering investment opportunities through a network of offices in around 30 countries. HSBC Alternatives, the alternatives investment platform, manages $50 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM) and is a key player in private markets worldwide.
Currently, we have an opening for a Portfolio Monitoring role in the Private Markets team. This role involves continuous monitoring of private equity, private credit, and infrastructure investments to maintain portfolio data integrity for client reporting.

In this role, you will:
- Portfolio monitoring - oversee existing investment portfolio.
- Maintain and update key investment database for portfolio monitoring and client reporting.
- Develop analysis and templates for benchmarking and valuation assurance exercises.
- Assist in client reporting and response to client requests.
- Support digitalization of portfolio management capabilities.
- Contribute to running a global Alternative investment program.
- Manage relationships with third-party data providers and engage with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience in private market investments with a focus on data quality and client reporting.
- Strong financial industry background with expertise in Private markets, Corporate Finance, and Portfolio Monitoring.
- Knowledge of private equity metrics and fund valuations.
- Data-driven mindset and effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in industry-specific systems and private markets datasets.
- Project management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proactive in data analysis and presentation.
- Proficient in financial and data analysis tools like Excel, Macros, PowerBi.
This role is based in London.
