Amazon Marketing Localization Specialist

Amazon is looking for a Marketing Localization Specialist to handle copywriting, translation, and content transcreation for EMEA and APAC markets on the global creative marketing team to support recruitment goals.

If you've overseen translation processes for multiple regions in various languages and collaborated with designers, producers, and creatives to combine words with visuals, this role might be for you.

We're seeking someone meticulous in reviewing marketing materials, ensuring quality control down to the smallest details like periods, widows, and orphans.

Your role will involve elevating creativity, promoting cultural awareness and sensitivity, and guaranteeing that the content resonates with the target audience.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Transcreation and Translation Management: oversee the translation process to ensure accurate and appropriate content adaptation
  • Collaboration: work closely with creative teams and vendors for timely transcreations
  • Linguistic Quality Assurance: drive best practices and continuous improvement, ensuring correct and consistent translation of copy and design
  • Cultural Insights: ensure final deliverables respect cultural nuances, customs, and sensitivities

The Workforce Staffing team recruits over a million employees for Amazon Operations. The Global Creative Services marketing team focuses on developing brand content to attract job seekers for hourly warehouse associate positions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, English, Communications, or related field
  • Senior experience in a creative team in an ad agency or corporate marketing department
  • Native fluency in English
  • Proven experience in marketing localization for a global marketing or communication team
  • Experience in the EMEA market
  • Hands-on experience in digital, social, and broadcast campaigns
  • Hybrid role - office and remote work

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Additional native fluency in languages such as Spanish, French, German, Polish, Italian, Czech, Dutch, Arabic, Turkish, Japanese, Tagalog, or Mandarin
  • Experience in building and maintaining multilanguage copy libraries for various customer segments and campaigns
  • Understanding of writing and designing for specific target audiences and brand voice guidelines
  • Ability to leverage research and data in messaging
  • Strong bias for action, balancing priorities, and meeting deadlines
  • Recruitment Marketing experience is a plus
