We have exciting new opportunities for Electrical / Mechanical / Fit Out Package Managers to join our Construction team based on one of our customer sites in Harlow (Essex).

Working as part of a team you will be responsible for the efficient management of health & safety, quality, performance, plant, equipment, materials, logistics, movements, interfaces, risks on the site.


KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITES:


nSite management / supervision of allocated contracts to ensure that our business principles of quality, profitability and close client relationships are implemented at all times.nResponsible for the managing of the site which will include efficient management of all labour, plant, equipment, materials, logistics, movements, interfaces, risks, opportunities.nResponsible for implementing and maintaining all JCA quality control processes on the project and provide feedback where necessary.nEngagement with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory legislation, industry standard guidelines, employer's requirements and any other JCA standard policies and procedures.nResponsible for identifying risks to health, safety, quality, and the environment and engaging with other stakeholders to ensure that adequate risk management is maintained at all times.nEnsure that all safe systems of work are fully implemented at all times.nPlan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.

nEnsure that reporting documentation is generated and maintained in accordance with contract requirements and JCA policies


JOB SPECIFICSnAttend site meetings as directed by the Contract Manager.nLiaise with other stakeholders during meetings and provide evidence-based site progress reports including (photos), 2-week look ahead, issues log and risks register.nUndertake take offs, material selection and order materials in accordance with the JCA set procedures.nEnsure correct storage of materials and that site stock is maintained to allow daily operations.nReview site reports, designs and drawings and provide practical feedback on installation methods and improvements in line with best practice.nLiaise with site team and identify and site challenges, identify and implement systems to resolve.nUse of construction company issued software/hardware applications to record progress, snagging, diaries, and checklists.nManage and understand the contract programme and produce short term/medium term updates as required.nReport on overall operation of their programme, labour, opportunities, health and safety and any other matter that may arise in contract reports and to the business as required.nResponsibility for the subcontractor site-based project documentation, items such as RAMS, permits, void closures.nResponsibility to meet with subcontractors on site progress, resource allocation and health safety performance.

Provide motivation and leadership to the workforce throughout the project.nWill be responsible for site welfare, to ensure it is effectively managed and clean at all times in accordance with all statutory and company requirements.nCreate and maintain and update daily site diary with full information on activities, staff, conditions, operations etc.nResponsibility for creating and maintaining site equipment and registers.

Responsibility for creating and maintaining site plant and registers.nResponsibility for managing site materials including security and appropriate storage.nResponsibility for the general security of the site, including access, security gates, securing perimeter at end of shift etc.nResponsibility for HSE audits (Checklists) and ensuring any actions are closed out in accordance with company procedures.nUndertake site Inductions for all staff and record required documentation.nUndertake daily briefings, tool-box talks and record as required.nOperate and maintain snag lists as required and liaise with supply chain to close out and record closed out.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEnMust have qualifications or be able to demonstrate suitable knowledge and experience:nConstruction and / or Engineering Qualification NVQ Level 3, HNC – preferable but not essential.nCITB SSSTS certificate holder (or approved equivalent)nIOSH Supervising SafelynCSCS card holder relevant to rolenFirst Aid at worknCan demonstrate supervision of projects of a comparable size, value and in a comparable industry or market sector.nCan demonstrate leadership and management style in keeping with JCA's brand image.nKnowledge of the construction and engineering industry's statutory requirements, methods, and processes.nGood communication both verbally & written.nAbility to work well within a team as well as independently.

nFull UK driving licence
